Welcome This is our story

The ‘The Holy Beans’ idea was born in the Evangelical congregation ‘de Helperkerk’ in the city of Groningen. The love for Jesus, people, and coffee came together perfectly. This led to the idea of sharing the Good News of Jesus by offering free coffee. We recently acquired a vintage food truck which we are going to convert into a coffee bus. With this, we will set out to share the love of Jesus with the residents of Groningen and the surrounding area. To make contact in an accessible way and having a conversation about what is truly important – that Christ Offers Forgiveness For Everyone Everywhere – that is our mission.

Our Commitment Bringing the Good News

The Gospel

The Good News is that Jesus, the Son of God, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose from the dead. The Bible says that everyone who believes in Jesus is forgiven and will have eternal life (John 3:16). You do not have to do anything to ‘earn’ this. His grace and forgiveness are free! Just like our coffee.

People

We are driven and determined to offer people more than free coffee. We want to give heed to Jesus’ command to share the Good News with everyone. “And He said to them: Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.” – Mark 16:15. All this out of love. For Him and all people.

Free Coffee

Because Jesus paid for our sins, we are happy to pay for your coffee. His love moves us to give. He has changed our hearts and gives us the compassion to love people and to share the Good News with everyone.

With The Holy Beans, we serve delicious fresh barista coffee. But it doesn’t stop there. With every cup of coffee, we share more than just taste: we want to connect, give attention and above all share the Good News of Jesus. Because true fulfillment is not found in coffee, but in Him.
