The Good News Believe and recieve eternal life
God created man in His image to live eternally. Through sin, humanity has fallen, and a separation has arisen between Him and man. The consequence of this is that we live in a fallen world and ultimately die.
God is perfectly holy, just, and pure love. In His presence, there is absolutely no darkness. To repair the chasm between Him and man, He gave His only begotten Son. Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
Eternal life is a free gift from God the Father that we may receive by grace, through faith. Jesus’ blood literally bought us free from sin and brought salvation to the whole world.
We cannot earn salvation or retain it by doing good, and we cannot lose it once we have received it from God through His Holy Spirit.
That makes the message of Jesus Christ the Good News! Receiving eternal life, without any reciprocal action, for He has already accomplished it on the cross!
